RANDE GERBER’S MOONSTONE LOUNGE AND HARD ROCK HOTEL SAN DIEGO DIVE INTO SPRING WITH THE LAUNCH OF “INTERVENTION SUNDAYS,” SAN DIEGO’S HOTTEST SUNDAY POOL PARTY

San Diego, California –On April 6, Gerber Group’s Moonstone Lounge at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego will kick-off spring with the launch of Intervention Sundays, the most highly anticipated Sunday pool party to come to San Diego. The weekly event promises an exciting, entertaining and decadent atmosphere where visitors and locals alike can spend the last hours of the weekend partying at the hottest destination and event in the city.

Intervention Sundays at Moonstone Lounge is the ultimate San Diego-style adult playground with the unmatched vibe that only Gerber Group and Hard Rock Hotel can bring.  Located on the 4th floor of the hotel overlooking San Diego’s thriving Gaslamp Quarter, Moonstone Lounge and the adjacent Woodstock Terrace transform into multi-faceted playpen for San Diego’s hippest movers and shakers.

Moonstone Lounge is a perfect oasis for a first-class summer bash offering a rooftop outdoor pool, gorgeous exposed bar, leafy palms, comfy pool-proof love seats, day beds and tricked out VIP cabanas available for the serious party-goer. With no shortage of eye-candy and endless voyeuristic people-watching, Moonstone Lounge will become the place to see and be seen. But the party doesn’t end with poolside lounging. While Moonstone servers dish out the lounge’s specialty cocktails, guests can also partake in a host of fun and flirty activities including ping pong, tetherball and more.

“We started thinking about hosting a really amazing pool party at Moonstone Lounge long before we even opened. And now, with Moonstone and Hard Rock working together, there will be no hotter party in town. The buzz has been insane – everyone is clamoring about this party,” said Rande Gerber.

The party extends from Moonstone onto the 8000 square foot Woodstock Terrace, where more than half of the concrete deck is laid with lush grass. The “Grassy Knoll”, surrounded by a multitude of chaise lounge chairs, offers deluxe hammocks, room on the grass to catch some sun and a modish set-up for a playful round of badminton. The hotel’s signature restaurant, Maryjane’s Coffee Shop, takes it to the roof with an impressive outdoor grill to serve up its classic Americana comfort barbeque, including specialty items like the Hot ‘n’ Tangy Pulled Pork sandwich. Adjacent to MJ’s Backyard Pool Grill, diners can grab a seat at one of the many retro-styled picnic tables.  Rock Spa also shares residence at Intervention, under their own tent, providing select “mini-therapies”, including Reflexology, massage and sunscreen application.

As expected with any Gerber Group and Hard Rock event, the entertainment will be A-list only.  Headlining the opening party will be LA and Las Vegas force, DJ Vice.  The following week, April 13th, Cisco Adler, Shwayze and DJ Skeet Skeet perform. Other special appearances by guest DJs, celebrities and prominent party people are yet to be announced. Sponsors of Intervention at Moonstone Lounge include Bacardi, Grey Goose, Corralejo, VeeV, Budweiser and Von Zipper.

Intervention Sundays at Moonstone Lounge take place weekly, each Sunday, through the end of September. Hours of operation are from noon to sunset (7 p.m.). This is a 21 and over event. Admission to Intervention is $10 per person, but free for registered hotel guests. Cabanas and VIP seating are always in high-demand, so for those interested, book early by contacting Moonstone Lounge at 619.764 6923. Tickets are on sale now

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Michael Bolton brings his soft rock ballads and tenor vocals to Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on July 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.

If you made a list of performers who have sold more than 53 million records, won multiple Grammy trophies for Best Male Vocalist and countless other honors, earned a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame and sold out arenas worldwide, Michael Bolton would be on that list. But if you tallied all the artists who’ve sung with Luciano Pavarotti and Ray Charles, written songs with Bob Dylan, penned hits for Barbra Streisand and KISS, played guitar with B.B. King and been sampled on a track by hip-hop superstar Kanye West (featuring megastar Jay-Z), Michael Bolton would be the only name on that list.

Bolton was born in 1953 to a Russian-Jewish family in New Haven, Connecticut. The youngest of three children, he received his first record label contract at the age of 15. Known for his soft rock ballads and tenor vocals, his achievements include selling 53 million albums, eight top ten albums, two No. 1 singles on the Billboard charts, and honors from both the American Music Awards and Grammy Awards.

Bolton's first band was a hard rock group called Blackjack. The group once toured with heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne. He began recording solo as Michael Bolotin in 1975, after gaining his first major hit as a songwriter, co-writing "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" for Laura Branigan. Narrowly missing the pop Top 10, Branigan took the song to number one on the adult contemporary charts for three weeks. The two sought to work with each other again, and their next of several associations was when Bolton co-wrote "I Found Someone" for Branigan in 1985. Her version was only a minor hit, but two years later, Cher resurrected the song, and with it her own singing career. Bolton co-wrote several other songs for both singers.

Bolton would achieve his greatest success in the late eighties and early nineties as a singer in the adult contemporary/easy listening genre. One of his first major hits was his 1987 interpretation of the Otis Redding classic, "(Sittin' On) the Dock of the Bay." Bolton won a Grammy Award for his remake of the Percy Sledge 1966 hit “When a Man Loves a Woman” in 1991. The song reached No. 1 on the Pop Singles Chart that year. Bolton is also famous for his 1990 hit “How Can We Be Lovers”.

Most of Bolton's recordings are original material, however, he has also written songs for such artists as Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers, Kenny G, Peabo Bryson and Patti LaBelle. Bolton's early songwriting collaborators included Doug James and Mark Mangold, and as his fame grew he began to co-write with higher-profile writers such as BabyFace, Diane Warren, and Bob Dylan. As a singer, he has performed with Plácido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, José Carreras, Lucia Aliberti, Renée Fleming, Zucchero, Patti LaBelle, Céline Dion, Ray Charles, Percy Sledge, Wynonna Judd, and BB King.

Bolton's last charting single in the US was the 1997 hit "Go the Distance,” which was featured in the Walt Disney motion picture “Hercules”.

Tickets cost $75, $60 and $45.*All seats are reserved and available at the Hard Rock Live Box Office, open Monday – Saturday from noon to 7pm and on Sunday – only open on event days at noon.
